Your solution against ants
![]()
In Belgium, the black garden ant is the most widespread species. Measuring between 3 and 4 mm, it often settles near homes and builds underground tunnels. These tunnels can cause damage to terraces, paving, and outdoor structures, compromising their stability.
In spring, particularly in May and June, winged ants appear. This phase corresponds to reproduction: ants leave their colony to create new ones. This can lead to a rapid increase in ant infestations both around and inside your home.
Pharaoh ants: a danger in buildings
The pharaoh ant is a particularly problematic invasive species. Very common in buildings, apartments, shops, and hospitals, it measures only 2 to 3 mm and is distinguished by its beige color.
This species is notorious because it forms multiple colonies that are difficult to detect and eliminate. It can slip into the smallest cracks, making eradication complex without professional pest control intervention.
As an omnivore, the pharaoh ant also poses a health risk, especially in sensitive environments.
The presence of ants in a house or around a building is a common problem in Belgium. At Extermina, we specialize in ant control, ant extermination, and professional anti-ant treatments in Brussels and throughout Belgium.
